Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to IWEP 2024!
The 2nd International Workshop on Engineering Physics (IWEP 2024) will be held in Kunming, China during October 27-29, 2024 Online during October 27-28, 2024.
In the modern world, with research now becoming increasingly global and collaborative, the lines between different disciplines getting blurry, interdisciplinary research is deemed to provide more chances of making discoveries since consolidated knowledge can lead to novel insights. Engineering Physics is the interdisciplinary study of engineering and physics serving as a bridge between pure and applied science, which will develop sufficient depth in both engineering and physics skills to cultivate talents who can relate fundamental physics to practical engineering problems, and will possess the versatility to address new problems in the rapidly changing technological base.
On November 16, 2023,the 1st International Workshop on Engineering Physics (IWEP 2023) was held online and concluded in cheers. The conference had the pleasure of welcoming renowned scholars as guests, and the conference presented keynote speeches, oral presentations and poster presentations and had attracted attendance and discussions from both home and abroad. Published conference proceedings have been retrieved by EI Compendex and Scopus.
All full papers submitted to the IWEP 2024 will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and research content, research depth, correctness, relevance to the conference, contributions, and readability.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we warmly welcome you to participate in IWEP 2024 technical discussions and accompanying programs

Kunming is one of the top ten tourist hotspots in China. By 2012, the city has more than 200 cultural relics under the protection of governments at all levels, including Shilin World Geopark, Dianchi Lake, Anning Hot Spring, Jiuxiang, Yangzonghai, Jiaozi Snow Mountain and other national and provincial famous scenic spots, as well as more than 100 key scenic spots such as World Horticulture Exposition Park and Yunnan Ethnic Villages. There are more than 10 national tourist routes, forming a tourism system with Kunming as the center, radiating to the whole province, connecting Southeast Asia and integrating tourism, sightseeing, vacation and entertainment. Kunming belongs to the north subtropical low latitude plateau mountain monsoon climate, mountain landform, surrounded by mountains on three sides, the south of the Dianchi Lake, along the lake scenery is beautiful, because of the low latitude plateau, the formation of the "spring all the year round" climate, enjoy the "spring city" reputation.
